Bioregionalism

Bioregionalism

A bioregion refers both to a geographical terrain as well as a terrain of consciousness – to a place and the ideas that have developed about how to live well in that place. When children participate in a transformative form of bioregional education they are better positioned to practice the “art of living well in one’s place” (Orr, 1992).

Community

Community

Community is what has made Little Mountain Earth Arts what it is today. Naturally, we involve the children in knowing community. What is community? How do we cultivate it? What are the ethical ways to connect in our daily life, to each other and this land? Little Mountain Earth Arts explores these questions with the children through experiential learning activities and lesson to explore with the children and also how we choose to conduct our business.
